About Natasha David

Natasha David is a multi-award winning beverage creative and author.
Born in Germany to musician parents, Natasha spent her childhood traveling the world alongside their performance schedules before eventually moving to New York City at 18 to attend New York University. Natasha has worked behind some of the best bars in the world, eventually owning and operating industry darling Nitecap. It went on to become an internationally recognized bar that was forced to shut its doors in 2020 due to Covid. Her book Drink Lightly was published by Clarkson Potter in 2022. With over 100 original recipes, it shines a light on the beauty, ritual, and inherent politics of drinking culture. Natasha can now be found consulting for bars, restaurants, and brands across the country. When not conceptualizing new projects, Natasha is writing, cooking, and bringing community together around her dinner table.
Natasha’s work is all about engaging new audiences and using liquid as visual storytelling. From creating custom cocktails, building drink installations, to educating bartenders with her unique sensibilities, Natasha’s passion for her work is evident in all she does.
Natasha is based in upstate New York where she lives with her family. She works on location worldwide.
